Yesterday a work colleague ( I've only just begun working at this location) said "Ive got something for you!" Music to my ears...happy days.
Unusually, unlike most donations I get, these are mainly plastic. Usually cardboard alternatives are now the norm. Which tells me these have been collected over a period of years, and awhile ago. I checked... and yes, this was so.
Walking along the streets of Helsinki... looking down.
Plastic pegs, arranged my colour.
Because it had to be done!
A year ago today, I was here.
A sombre walk, into a a place that human history marks it as one of the most heart breaking. All colour drained and flattened.
About a weeks worth of random stuff, gleaned from the ground, emptied out of the random pocket in my handbag. I collect breadtags, ( occlupanids ) but somewhere along the way, it became all kinds of other things. Future Artefacts of the Anhropocene. Urban archaeology. I use them in my art practice. Never planned, always scanning the ground though. And yes, I have tubs of this stuff....
When you look down, and see a nice moment!
One of many doors leading into Monet's garden at Giverny.
Oh that blue! That light CBD! CBD Helsinki ♡
