The delicate architecture and the heavy symbolic weight of a rose

There is something incredibly complex about the way a rose exists as both a masterpiece of natural geometry and a massive cultural icon, especially when you realize how every layer of petals is perfectly spiraled to protect the core while the thorns act as a silent and sharp reminder that beauty usually comes with its own set of defenses, it feels like the rose is the ultimate paradox of nature, soft and fragile to the touch but incredibly resilient and capable of surviving in the wild for decades if left to its own devices

What’s one mistake you made early in your business that you’d avoid now?

I’ve been thinking about starting (or growing) a small business, and one thing I keep hearing is how common early mistakes are, especially when you’re figuring things out as you go.

Sometimes it feels like you only learn certain lessons the hard way, whether it’s pricing wrong, trusting the wrong people, or not understanding your market well enough.

I’d really like to avoid some of those if possible, or at least be more aware going in.

For those who’ve been through it, what’s one mistake you made early on that you’d definitely avoid if you had to start over?

My cat is acting like she’s never seen food in her life

I’m starting to think my cat is a bottomless pit. I just fed her a full dinner twenty minutes ago, and she’s already back in the kitchen doing the "I’m starving" scream-and-trip-the-human routine. She has a clean bill of health from the vet, so I know she isn't actually sick, but her acting skills are making me feel like a monster for not giving her a second meal.

Does anyone else have a cat that is completely obsessed with food even when they’ve just eaten? I’d love to know how you handle the constant begging without giving in to those puppy-dog (kitten-dog?) eyes.

Z mount glass vs adapted F mount

I’ve been shooting with a Z body for a while now, but I’m still mostly using my old F-mount lenses with the FTZ adapter. While the results are still great, I keep seeing everyone rave about how much sharper the native S-line lenses are. I’m starting to wonder if the extra weight and length of the adapter are finally worth ditching for a fully native setup.

For those of you who made the full switch, did you actually notice a big jump in image quality or autofocus speed? Also, are there any specific F-mount lenses you refuse to give up because they just have a "look" the new ones can't match?
