Transitions thicker than standard 1.67 hi index?
I got a pair of semi rimless glasses from overnight glasses, a few years back, and they are perfect - 4.5, - 0.5 rx 78axis. (around there for one eye) and I got 1.67 hi index. I recently ordered the same rx, same frame but transitions and 1.67 and they came in with the wrong rx(the duplicate function made the -0.5 a +0.5, but I don't remember how thick they were, as I was concerned mostly with the blurry lenses.
I sent them back and they came back 1 to 2mm thicker than it should be. They also weren't as clear like it feels like everything is bigger too. Do transisions have this effect? I know I am super sensitive to any change but jeeze.
I sent them back again and they remade them. They are a tad better in clarity (not fully) and are still super thick? Did this company change how they make glasses? I don't understand how my original pair (and other glasses with 1.67) is thin but these aren't.
I am wondering if they are passing off polycarbonate for hi index on the recuts? Or they are half assing it as this looks way too different.
