I took advise from the comments here. Im a GILD member.

Hey friends.

I took advise on becoming a GILD member. There is almost no merchants in my area, and I want to be a part of the solution. I requested 20 pamphlets and stickers, and any other resources GB decides to send me to help. I have some questions for those that have done the same.

So I am not salesman, but I'm a people person and have the social skills to strike up a conversation and dictate the direction if need be. I just want some feedback on how you went about approaching potential merchants, and how you managed to not look like someone trying to sell something, or not try to look like you have an agenda other than spreading the word.

Ill be adding a single 1/4 idaho ill purchase myself to each pamphlet. Ill dress nice but casual. Ill take a hard no easily and all that.

Some questions:

What sort of approach did you use walking into a potential merchant?

How did you identify and decide that this merchant was a good idea to approach?

Did you include anything else other than the pamphlet?

What do you do if someone gets the wrong idea of what you are doing and becomes nasty?

How far out from your residence did you travel to do this?

Did you make a plan and list of places? Or was it ok a whim?

If you did land a merchant, what info of yours did you give out for their merchant forum?

Did goldback reach out to you after the merchant signed up and put down your information?

Thanks guys. 🪙🇺🇸

Mail Day, book organization

First picture is mail call (lower notes) and 9 older singles i bought at my LCS. This marks 100 gb$ for me and I'm excited. I remember when I bought my first 20 notes from my LCS not long ago.

I love goldbacks.
