Would this be practical?

I really want to do a gyotaku print ontop of lino for my final peice but I was thinking about the practically of doing it as my teacher says it wouldn't be possible.

Gyotaku is a traditional form of art from Japan, that uses sumi ink to paint atop of a dead fish and print onto washi paper, showing a 1-1 scale print of the fish, showing each individual detail of that fish.

I like this as it captures shows the fish for what it is giving it an image after it's death, and for it to be 'immortalised' almost.

I understand that it would be smelly but I have been granted a separate room for my access arrangements and the school has fridges/freezers for students to use.

I want to do this as I feel I can honor the fish and it will bring individuality to my work.

Can I do this and should I?
