All this keeb needed was a set of cute keycaps for it to come back to live! 🥹🙂↕️
I've had this Epomaker Keyboard 84 Plus for about two years, and I did not like the keycaps and the switches that it came with. I added a MOA set of keycaps that I got from AliExpress, but for some reason I did not like it that much. I love the keycap set, but I just don't love it in this keyboard. Or any other keyboard for that matter.
I don't know what was going on with me that I ended up buying other keyboards (and I now I own like 5 or 7) for completely entire different reasons, and then I decided that I was just going to get rid of this one. Then I also got super crazy and I bought like a tonne of keycap sets on AliExpress. I said to myself, "you know what? Let's add some cute keycaps to this board and see how we like it."
And omg! It looks super cuteeeeeee! 🥹
Something that I loved about this set is that it has the little paws as keycaps, so I don't have to look down while I'm writing to make sure that I'm touching the arrow keys. It adds a sensory help with this, and I love it now.
And this was my second keyboard. My first one ever was the epomaker RT100 in pink, and I realised that I did not like keyboards with a numpad. I then got the 84 plus, and I realised that I also don't like when keyboards come all compacted and all the keys are like smashed together. I like to have that little gap in the arrow keys.
I'm so happy I managed to bring this guy back to life! Now I need to find a good set of silent switches and see how I like it. If not, perhaps the Yunzii candy switches could do the trick to make it sound like the Yunzii C98 with the candy switches.
