IC Y11F (?)
Does anyone know where I can purchase a replacement of this chip? Or know of a replacement chip that would work? I am unable to find anything about this. No data sheet or anything else. I believe it’s marking is Y11F. Thanks.
Now the what happened:
I purchased, used/broken, QNAP TS-433-4 G NAS. I fixed the short on the main board, but then the daughter board that has the 4 SATA connections for the HDDs wasn’t getting full power. In the process of figuring out how the voltage was running, I was checking a row of capacitors that are on the back of the daughter board where the connection to the main MOBO is made and bridged two caps with my DMM. This IC, buck converter maybe, instantly sent smoked and fried out.
I did find out after removing it that the 2 caps I bridged were a 5v and 3.3v. Since this fried instantly, I’m assuming it’s got something to do with the 3.3v rail.
