Hi, I’m looking for some advice on a somewhat unusual genealogy situation.

My mom underwent IVF treatment in Bucharest around 2008-2009, and during that time she donated an egg to another patient. There was no formal documentation so we dont know anything about the recipients.

I understand that the chances are relatively low that this resulted in a child, but I’m still exploring the possibility.

I’ve ordered a DNA test (hasnt arrived yet) and plan to upload the results to multiple platforms.

My question is:

what would be the best strategy to maximize the chances of identifying a potential half-sibling (if one exists), especially given that this took place in Eastern Europe?

Any guidance would be appreciated.
