AZ native trying to plan the perfect engagement on the coast end of June or early July, any recommendations or advice from locals would be so helpful!
My partner is absolutely obsessed with whales and I’d love to take her to see her first one (if we’re lucky enough) on the same trip I plan to propose to her on, but I’m having a hard time picking the right city. I’ve only been to San Diego and found it fun but not the sort of place I’m looking for an engagement. My partner and I’s vacation vibe is definitely more “slow paced, explore and walk on the beach, visit tons of coffee shops and lunch spots, with a couple fancy dinners sprinkled in”. Any recommendations for a laid-back coastal town/city that would be fun to walk around but still have enough to do and see for a 4-5 day weekday trip? Bonus points if there’s good summer whale watching close by, but definitely not necessary since we’ll have a car.
