Help me decide between Telluride and Carnival

Coming from a Mazda CX-5 and trying to decide between the Kia Telluride Hybrid SX AWD and the Kia Carnival SX Hybrid.
We’re 2 adults and 2 kids (3 & 8). We like road trips, skiing, and camping. A third row would mostly be for when people visit, which isn’t that often. Storage in the Telluride looks a bit tight with the third row up, though.
The Telluride seems like the more fun option, and AWD would be nice for a yearly ski trip and occasional off-road camping, but maybe not a dealbreaker. Since the hybrid just came out, it feels like a bit more of a risk and possibly a worse financial move compared to the Carnival, which seems like the better deal right now.
We’ve definitely felt cramped in the CX-5, so just trying to make sure the Telluride would actually fix that.
Any other families of four who’ve been in a similar spot?
