new guitar day!
so, my son (16) has been in the hospital for a couple of weeks, and we were told it would be at least one more. my wife has stayed with him every night, and i've kept the house together and kept things as normal as possible for the other 3 kids. we got the HUGE surprise that they were discharging him today! the drive home isn't far from my favorite guitar shop, so I asked if she minded if we stopped in for a minute as it's not close to home. I have other gibsons, but not an sg, and there was this used ('23, like new) '61 reissue standard that caught my eye, but I wasn't planning on buying it as i've bought enough gear lately! by the time I circled back to the front, she had already bought it as a thank you (I was teary!) for everything she couldn't help with! this thing is great, and I have an amazing wife!! most importantly, my son is back home :)
