South Korea loves cheesesteak too—review of Philadelphia Seoul

As our sub rides the high of Nihonbashi Philly in Tokyo, I wanted to put another East Asian cheesesteak destination on our radars: Seoul, South Korea!

Just visited Philadelphia restaurant and had a great cheesesteak! Also chatted with the owner, who lived in the Philly area for 15 years.

Korean cheesesteaks seem to feature softer bread and additional toppings like pickled jalapeños (surprisingly tasty). The owner mentioned that he had to adjust his original Amoroso-style rolls recipe for the Korean palate after locals found it too chewy!

In addition to Philadelphia restaurant, the Gangnam area of Seoul has other cheesesteak destinations, including Wiir Philadelphia (started in 2022 by Penn State grads) and Without-Visa. Highly recommend stopping by as we uncover the extent of the cheesesteak diaspora!

Where can I buy these flavored mini pretzels I keep getting as bar snacks?

I am going crazy on my visit to Seoul this week looking for where to buy these delicious pretzels! Multiple bars said they serve Samjin pretzels, but I cannot find this brand anywhere. I am looking for any similar brand or any flavor at this point.

I have looked at 7-11, GS25, CU, Emart, and Lotte Super already. If you know where to buy these, please let me know!
