been thinking about this after seeing a lot of “hyper-personalized” outreach lately.
you’ve got people spending 5–10 minutes researching each lead, writing custom lines, sometimes even recording videos all to make the email feel unique.
and yeah, it can work.
but at the same time, it feels like there’s a point where the effort doesn’t match the return, especially if you’re trying to scale.
on the other side, fully templated emails are fast but often get ignored unless the targeting is really tight.
so it feels like there’s a middle ground somewhere, but it’s not always obvious where that line is.
how much personalization is actually worth it before it starts slowing you down more than it helps?
