Disappointing service experience with VC
I’ve had a truly disappointing service experience with VC. Sent my piece in to get serviced and after a wait received the watch only to find the chrono seconds hand was visibly blemished, and obviously so with the naked eye. This was particularly surprising because the hands had been replaced.
I sent the watch back in again, and they took it in and agreed to replace the hand given that the hand was obviously defective. Picked up my watch after another wait and left it in the pouch while I had dinner. Took out the watch two hours later to find the time frozen at the time of pickup despite the SA setting the watch and winding the watch in front of me; the watch never started.
I wound the watch to be sure, and made sure the crown was fully in. This is my seventh watch so I’m not an amateur either. Still not ticking. A simple functional check by the watchmaker would have caught this.
At a loss at how I can convey to VC when I drop it off and that the watch better be serviced properly. Do leave me any advice you might have.
