Dirty Dave for 6.5 Grendel?
I should start by saying that I own an ODB RDM and a DD RDM. The DD lives on my 18" AR-10 in .308. The ODB is usually on my 16" .300 BLK upper, and I was planning on using it for my 18" 6.5 Grendel upper when I get it back out to the range after turkey season.
My logic was that the 6.5 is based on the 7.62x39, so that is probably the best match.
HOWEVER, due to some unfortunate circumstances, my LGS has come into possession of a 718 DD that they didn't think they would be able to sell, so the owner called me last night (while ALSO telling me that they got another can I ordered delivered) and offered it to me for his cost. Of course I said yes.
Would the DD be appropriate for my rifle-length 6.5 Grendel? It's low volume of fire stuff, just some local 600 yard matches and the occasional out-of-state deer hunt.
