Bad Seller on TradeMe: Can They Refuse to Fix the Problem If I don't Remove a Negative Review?
I bought a computer advertised as Windows 11. When it arrived I found A. They forgot to send the power cord for the charger, and B. not only was it Windows 10, it was an old version of Windows 10 and needed several non trivial updates before I could install PC Health Check.
My conversation with the seller began friendly when the absence of the cord was the issue, but have turned less friendly about the Windows version.... they stall and say we'll have to talk with our supplier. I gave them a negative review. They seem to be saying they won't fix the two problems unless I take down the review. Is that legal? Btw. TradeMe doesn't let users amend reviews. If you take down a review, you can't write another. So taking down the review takes away my leverage, and I have refused to do so until the problems are fixed.
