I’ve done 3 celebrity cruises:

Edge in 2023

Apex in 2025

Equinox now

My other cruises have all been Royal or Princess.

On my first two celebrity cruises I was blown away by the meals. While I found Royal and princess food quality dropped after COVID, Celebrity wowed me.

But I’m now on the Equinox and it’s not better than Royal or Princess at all. Everything’s been just fine, but nothing has been very good or great. Especially the beef.

I’m wondering if this is the new normal on Celebrity so that people do specialty dining or retreat, or if this is just because it’s an older ship?

Was going to book a future cruise onboard but if this is the new normal and with prices double for 2027, I’m reconsidering.
