I recently ended my contract and are looking for new freelance opportunities.

I have over 10 years of experience as a software engineer. Started my career as a full stack dev with PHP and AngularJS. Been working with Angular since version 2 for large companies on the German market.

Familiar with all the latest Angular features.

Worked with several other technologies along the way. Java, Node, Kotlin, Android but focused my later years to frontend roles with mostly Angular although I am familiar with React and Vue as well.

I am looking for a new senior frontend engineer contract preferably with a company from EU or USA but willing to work with contractors in Slovenian time zone.

I am also open to full stack roles if needed, just keep in mind that I am more frontend focused.

I prefer working over b2b contracts.

My daily rate is 480€ (60€/h)

So a quick background. 10 yoe. 7.5 years as a full time employee full stack, but mostly frontend. 2.5 years as frontend contractor.

End of April my contract ended and I've been looking for new jobs since. Currently have 2 full time options with about average pay for a senior engineer 5500€ gross and one contract offer which is super low (35€/h). Before I was getting 60€/h and 46€/h as contractor which raised my social contributions as a freelancer a lot cause I made 100k for the last two years.

Should I quit contracting and take full time job or stay with contracting and look for something else while working for 35€/h

Summary:

Job A:

5500€ gross per month

Hybrid (office twice a week, commute 40 min, 60km one direction)

React frontend dev

Potential to switch back to fullstack with Golang

Job B:

5500€ gross per month

Hybrid (not mandatory in office but recommended at least a few days, twice a week afteernoon shift because of meetings with USA, office close can walk or cycle there)

React + Go fullstack dev

AI workflows which might be future proof (or not)

Job C:

35€/h contract temporary + look for new contract asap

Remote

Angular frontend role (what I am good at but might not be future proof)

What would you do? I do have emergency fund but I don't want to pay massive social contributions for months without making any money
