Liver Disease and CF

So, I recently had an ultrasound to see if my liver is in good enough shape for Alyftrek, and it looks like that won't be happening as the test showed Heterogenous echogenic appearance of the liver parenchyma, consistent with chronic liver disease.

I'm making an appointment with a GI specialist so we can get a better perspective of what we're looking at... but I'm definitely pretty deflated. I'm cutting alcohol, which is fine. I'm not very reliant on it, but my health has been so good since getting on Trikafta. It feels like a step backward, and just another way in which I need to deal with this disease that never stops coming at you.

Wondering if anyone has experience dealing with liver disease from CF, and if there's any advice you have.

I started running ToD as a first time DM because it was a lvl 1-17 campaign. That was my initial interest. When I bought the module I had read some reviews, but ultimately didn't realize how tedious Hoard of the Dragon Queen would be. I imagine maybe the larger module might become more interesting, but ultimately, this module is killing my passion for the game.

My players don't share my distaste, but they don't realize that everything that is good about our game comes from random things I implement into the campaign. Nothing that is compelling comes from the module.

So, I've decided to abandon it in full. I'm going to write in a Cult of the Dragon ritual that goes awry, and sucks my players into the Fae realm, and we're gonna start a whole new adventure. I'm going to give my players an opportunity to make a new character, or continue with their established ones.

Running this module has been an amazing education in the role of a DM, the mechanics of the game, and why I have no interest in purchasing modules ever again.
