Some all-time greats and fan favorites here. It’s interesting though, I feel like most people stick within their subgenre of Folk and don’t branch too far out from that, but because of that, there’s something for everybody. As you might be able to see, decades aren’t fully chronological this time to avoid some Hydrogen Bomb vs Coughing Baby matchups.

An underrepresented genre in online music discussion circles, but a massive and influential one nonetheless. I don’t expect much from this one. 2 Tone and Third Wave Ska excluded due to the Punk and Rock infusion on those.

A polarizing genre but definitely some gems. Outside of a couple big names, I don’t see it posted here a lot, so interested to see what the response is like. Don’t have a lot to say about this one.

Late today for various reasons, but yeah this is a fun one. Wasn’t planning on doing it because a friend of mine did a similar post a couple days ago, which was what inspired me to do these. I tried not to repeat their choices.

EDIT: To clarify, you can choose a column per image, so up to 6 choices. You don’t have to choose only one genre or decade, as long as they’re separated by image.
