Un Monkey Island ambientado en Buenos Aires

Hola!

I’ve been a comedian for 15 years (not full time, it’s really hard to pull that off in Argentina) but last year I moved with the family to a small town in Spain with no venues or comedy scene, so after a bit of an existential crisisI thought it was time to fulfill my childhood dream of making my own adventure game (I grew up in the 90s playing LucasArts and Sierra games, Guybrush and Roger Wilco were basically my role models).

The idea is that you’re a struggling comedian trying to build a solid 5-minute set for an important audition. It has classic pnc puzzles that make the story flow, funny (I hope they are funny) characters and dialogues and a ‘show mechanic’ in which you have to choose which joke to tell at each step, which will either bomb or land based on the type of audience. As a result, the player has a confidence level that will define what you can or can’t do next. No deaths, no dead endings, classic LucasArts style. Oh you can also unlock new jokes based on everyday situations.

I already have a steam page up and will upload a demo in a few weeks. I’m pretty excited about the process and did receive good feedback from colleagues, but here’s the problem: they are also comedians. So my question is, to you adventure game players, is this a game you’d give a try? Or is this too niche?

Any feedback is very appreciated.
