Hey everyone, new to auto painting. I’m looking to sand these down before painting it to match my car colour. (I have primer, colour matched paint and clear coat sprays).

However not sure how deep I should sand these down ? Is going all the way to the shiny metal layer ok?

Also if someone can recommend which grit I should sand with before primer goes on I’d appreciate it
