Hi!! I got my rats last week from pets at home (there arent many breeders around where i live ):)and we are making so much progress!! They love banana baby yogurt and they will finally sit on my hand to eat!! they are starting to climb up my arm and come out of the cage by themselves which is so cool

while they do all of this, even while im feeding them, if my hand goes near them to very gently pet them, they pull back. its not a big scare because they come back to eating within seconds, but if i try again they do the same

how do i get them used to petting?

also, they are making a sort of chattering noise when im interacting with them: good or bad? they dont SEEM stressed so im wondering if its kind of like a happy stim or something 😭
