i've grown away from using it as a food source. tilapia would all stun during our first freeze and i got sick of cleaning 50 fish in one sitting. also got tired of breeding and raising replacements.

same could be said for veggies. these days i rather enjoy watching pollinators instead of growing veggies and fruits. the only issue now is finding homes for the new koi and goldfish that are made naturally.

plumbing is not glued so every year or two i have a fitting separate. i've had one pump fail.

we're currently experiencing a record drought so the water level is the lowest it's been since i filled it the very first time.

the only thing id do differently is maybe add a swirl filter. i haven't really needed it though. it would just eliminate winter maintenance of turning the grownbeds.

i hope this hobby gives you as much joy as it has for me.

my daughter and i are hoping to hit this after her graduation before she heads off into her future.

the completion list doesn't have very many entries between may and november. i'm afraid i already know the answer. is this section reasonable during september? maybe early october?
