I need to add an explanatory note here: it's not my usual, regular shop but both a re-stock and treat combined. Chinese supermarkets here stock a vast array of items imported mostly from East and Southeast Asia and often unavailable elsewhere. Some I buy regularly (seaweed, green teas, noodles or specialty rice), some less often (exotic fruits, sauces, condiments and spices) and others I buy "to try" every now and then (the Vietnamese crackers or fruit chips on this occasion). The products pictured here were imported from Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Ecuador, Thailand and Indonesia. This supermarket has several branches in mainland England (Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle upon Tyne, Sheffield).
