Looking for Long Term YouTube Editor (Channel about: Hybrid photography and video) Paid
Hey everyone,
I run a YouTube channel under the name Roy van der Wens. I’m currently at just over 20,000 subscribers.
I recently made a shift and narrowed down my niche.
I’m now fully focused on hybrid photography and video as one shooter.
Looking for:
- Fast paced editing with strong retention
- Story driven edits, not just cutting clips
- Good sense of timing and humor
- Clean use of music and sound design
- Light captions or subtle graphics where needed
- Someone who understands YouTube
- Style: high energy, personality driven, strong pacing, but still clean and intentional.
Important:
Please only reach out if you think you match this style.
About the current situation:
My recent videos are underperforming because of the niche shift.
I want to be transparent about that.
I'm looking for an editor so I can focus on shooting videos
This is not a quick win project.
But the channel has proven it can grow, and I’m fully committed to building it back up within this niche.
Workflow:
- I send the footage with a script and rough edit direction
- You create a first cut
- We review and refine together
- We finalize the video together
Technical:
I work in DaVinci Resolve.
It’s a plus if you’re familiar with it, but not a requirement.
Before we start:
If this sounds like you, send me your portfolio and tell me a bit about yourself. Personality matters!
I’d like to do a video call first to see if we connect and speak the same creative language.
I’m loyal in collaborations and I’m not looking to switch editors constantly.
Compensation:
I’m looking for someone who wants to grow long term, not just do one off edits.
I don’t expect perfection. Mistakes are part of the process.
What matters is that you’re willing to grow with me, improve, and build something together as a team.
I’m loyal in collaborations and I’m not looking to switch editors constantly.
I’m new to this, so I’m not sure what a fair price is. For example: do I pay ($20 HOURLY) or ($200 FLAT) for a project? This is open for discussion.
