The detail I’m most proud of (and why we stick to 100% Cotton) | @rooptara.official

Hi everyone! Thanks for the love on my last post. A lot of you asked about the quality we’re aiming for at Roop Tara.

I wanted to highlight one of our favorite features: the corset-style back on our Kurti. It’s a small detail, but it makes the fit so much more flattering than a standard boxy cut.

Being based in Jaipur, we have access to amazing Cotton, and we’re committed to keeping it authentic. No "poly-cotton" shortcuts here.

Question for the shoppers here: When you're buying ethnic wear online, what's the one design detail that instantly makes you hit "Add to Cart"? (For me, it’s always a unique sleeve or back detail!)

What actually made you trust a small Instagram shop for the first time? 👀 (@rooptara.official)

Hey everyone!

Genuine question — because I'm a student who just launched a small ethnic wear brand on Instagram and I'm trying to understand what actually builds trust for new buyers.

When you're browsing an Instagram shop you've never heard of — what made you finally click "buy"?

Was it:

Reviews/comments from other buyers?

Seeing the founder's face?

Fabric/quality details in the posts?

A friend's recommendation?

Just vibes? 😅

I'm not a big brand with a marketing budget — just a girl trying to make authentic Jaipuri cotton wear accessible.

Would love to know what actually works from a shopper's perspective.

Be brutally honest — it'll only help me grow! 🙏

Just launched my own ethnic brand from Jaipur—as a first-time founder, I'd love your honest feedback! 🌸

Hey everyone!

I’ve been a long-time lurker here, and I finally took the plunge. I’m a student and I just launched my brand, Roop Tara, based right here in Jaipur.

I started this because I was tired of seeing "Jaipuri prints" that were actually cheap polyester blends. We’re focusing 100% on authentic cotton and traditional techniques (like our Cotton Meena work).

I’m not a "content creator," so I’m just trying to show the raw behind-the-scenes of our workshop and the actual quality of the pieces.

I’d love your thoughts on:

Does the website feel easy to navigate? (www.rooptara-a.com)

As shoppers, do the product details (like the corset back on our Maya Kurti) stand out to you?

What’s one thing a new brand can do to win your trust?

Be as honest as you want—I’m here to learn and grow!
