While obviously this shot looks very intriguing about what is happening I want your attention to be on the cable HBO while this might be a funny easter egg i decided to make a theory out of it.

I heard it from a youtuber say that HBO used to advertise itself as a cable company and sell itself cheaply to motels back in 1980s and 1990s, what if this is the same thing and the story is set in the past ?

Maybe not as back as 1980s but maybe 2000s or this particular scene might be from the past, like an alien threat landing on Earth. As far as we know we have no idea what's the timeline of the plot.

The one drawback is it'd make Hal and especially John very old.

What do you guys think ?
