Just got my phone back from my local EE store after a cracked front screen repair (it now looks immaculate, even the battery, cracked back and chipped metal surround — pretty sure they have given me a brand new one)

Gone to charge the phone and noticed a big hole in the left hand side of the USB C port.

Is this normal or is there a speaker/component missing?

Happy the phone looks brand new, but am I now going to have to worry about it being water tight.
