I purchased this dress a few weeks ago when we were still thinking of doing a small, but typical wedding with 20 guests and ceremony in a historic chapel. Now we are playing with the idea of eloping instead but I feel like this dress is too much for an elopement.

For context, the dress was an unexpected gift from my parents and cost $2200. I wish I had bought it myself and then I wouldn’t feel guilty if I decided not to wear it and purchase a different dress.

Do you think it’s too much dress for an elopement? I feel like I’m getting sucked into keeping with the original wedding plan just due to the dress.
