Advice on making a Tron colour scheme
Howdy hey fish-folk. Trying to get back into the hobby as a way to help quit drinking. Ive not played or painted a mini since at least 2012 so need some advice. Ive decided my first model will be a riptide and i want to go for a Tron inspired colour scheme, where the grooves between panels have a bright colour (currently deciding between an orange or teal glow) with the panels being black/very dark grey for contrast. Back in the day I would always undercoat with black and layer over that so i could get easy shadows. However, im wondering if in this instance i’m better off undercoating in white, painting in my glow effects, then finishing with the black panelling and details with a gloss sealing spray? Advice would be appreciated and no recommendations for airbrushing please, its not my thing. TIA
Here is a reference image (tho much better painted than im hoping to achieve for my first mini in over a decade)
