Rose leaves darkening

I received a small potted rose plant in February for Valentine's Day, it was doing great until it got very wet and most buds couldn't open so l've moved it to a much drier spot. Recently over the past month, the leaves have all gotten darker and darker. I received another rose plant as a gift and of similar size, and the leaves look strikingly different in color. I live in the PNW in a zone 9 region, and ever since my rose plant got too much water l've been closely monitoring it to make sure it doesn't get overwatered. I grow many other plants but am fairly new to roses so I'm not sure if this is all bad or if my rose needs saving 😿
