SGA is already the third greatest point guard of all-time.

SGA already has an extremely strong argument for 3rd all-time in his position. What other point guards have two MVPs, a finals MVP, and a ring? Magic and Curry, and now SGA once he wins MVP. You can argue names like Isiah Thomas (No MVPs), Steve Nash (No rings, No FMVP, Didn't even make Finals), Oscar Robertson (1 MVP), Chris Paul (No MVPs, No rings, no FMVPs), Stockton (No MVPs, No rings, No FMVPs).

You can argue longevity, but I would say that Shai already has one of the greatest four year peaks for ANY player in history. GP: 71.8, MIN: 34.2, PTS: 31.3, FG%: 52.9, 3PT%: 36.5, FT%: 88.9, REB: 4.9, AST: 6.2, STL: 1.7, BLK: 0.9, TO: 2.4. So is four MVP level seasons really worse than 10 seasons being 10-15 level guy in the league?

I get why rival fans hate SGA.

What do you even say about him? You can’t call him inefficient, can’t say he’s unclutch, can’t say he plays no defense, can’t bring up off court drama, can’t say he doesn’t win anymore.

So they just spam “free throw merchant” and “flopper” because that’s all they’ve got.

Deep down they know the real problem: their franchise guy isn’t Shai. And no matter how many edits and fake MVP debates they make, he’s probably not winning them a ring either.

Cope harder.

I’m not even mad, man. Proud of our boys.

Yeah, getting swept 4-0 by OKC hurts. No Lakers fan wants to go out like that. But let’s not act like this team didn’t fight like hell just to get there. We beat Houston with two of our guys out, battled through adversity, and still found a way to make noise when a lot of people had already counted us out.

Next season? Different story.

Luka, LeBron, and Reaves with a full year together? Come on. That’s a problem for the whole league. Give this team health, chemistry, and a couple smart moves around the edges, and we’re right back in it.

Proud of the squad. Lakers in 2027. Banner incoming. 💜💛

One of the best moments from the Dream Team run in 1992 was an outtake from a photoshoot of Jordan, Magic Johnson, and Larry Bird. The two older superstars were setting their poses behind MJ when Magic warned Larry to be careful because “you can’t get too close to Michael or it’s a foul.”

Jordan made 15 of 16 free throws Thursday in Chicago’s 75-68 victory. “I don’t think Jordan deserved more than five free throws,” Riley said. “I thought one time he was going to go to the official and say, ‘Don’t make that call. It’s not the right call.’ It was embarrassing.” “There is definitely an injustice,” Heat center Alonzo Mourning added. “Guys get discouraged. They say, ‘Can I touch him?”’

"This is the year everyone is blowing whistles on officials. There were protests that Michael Jordan was getting preferential treatment from the refs, especially when he was not called for a foul against Charlotte in the last second of a one-point game that eliminated the Hornets."

John Salley, after the Pistons were eliminated by the Knicks in 1992, reportedly said: “Michael just gets the treatment. It’s obvious when you see it.”

Isiah Thomas made a similar complaint in the same context. Talking about whether the Knicks could compete with the Bulls, he said: “If the officials and the league allow them to play, I don’t know if they’ll win, but I think they could compete.”

George Karl, 1996 Finals: Karl said Game 4 showed Jordan got “special treatment from the officials.” His clearest line was: “If he’s not Michael Jordan, I think he would have gotten thrown out.”

It seems like this is an excuse fans make when a player is too successful and has no other flaws in their game.

Most seasons ever with 30+ PPG, 6+ APG, <=2.5 TOV/G is now SGA (3); next is Jordan (1).

Only guard ever with 30+ PPG on 55%+ FG in a season.

Only Jordan has more seasons of 30+ PPG on 50%+ FG (MJ 5, SGA 4).

Since 1979-80 (65+ games), only 8 seasons have hit 30+ PPG on under 20 FGA/G; SGA owns 2 of them (2023-24, 2025-26)

He is the most consistent scorer ever above 30+ PPG (Lowest SD among 30+ PPG seasons), with both the 1st spot and 4 times in the top 15.
