Good replacements for 2234 boots and 8618 shoes
Howdy friends and fellow fans of high grade footwear!
I appreciate the irony of posting in the Redwing Shoes subreddit looking (brand independently) for good replacements for shoes that Redwing has discontinued, but we folks with funny shaped feet need to stick together.
For years I've worn 8618 oxfords as my daily footwear and 2234 6" boots with composite safety toes for manual work where they're a good idea. But Redwing discontinued them and my last pairs of both shoes and boots are within sight of the end of the line.
Difficulty: I am USA size 12-12.5, 2E-3E (depending on the upper), high instep, and need a big toe box. Oh, and I'm a black shoes kind of guy, no shade to people for whom brown works, but kind of not me.
Any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
