I built a tiny offline MTG “printer” for Momir Basic and Tokens (fits in a Boulder!)

Got inspired by the Momir Vig video from Rhystic Studies and decided to make my own little printer.

Aside from printing cards for Momir Basic, it can also print any token or creature that currently exists.

Some details:

  • The printer creates its own hotspot and hosts a server, so it works completely offline (all images are pre-downloaded)
  • You control it through a Mac System 7–inspired interface on your phone or computer
  • Everything runs on a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W
  • All images are pre-dithered, so printing is basically instant
  • The entire build fits inside an Ultimate Guard Boulder
  • For the momire cards the rules-text is printed underneath the image
  • double-faced cards are printed as one super long image you can fold over
  • Powered by a power bank via a single USB-C cable

Happy to answer questions or share more details if people are interested!
