Accidentally took my PM Qelbree dose in the AM (12 hours early)
I already called poison control and they said they thought it would be fine, since it's an extended release and it was 12 hours since the last dose. I'm just wondering if anyone else has done this, and if you had any side effects.
What happened was that I got my AM and PM pill cases mixed up and took the wrong one before I noticed. I take 400 mg in the evening. Poison control took all my information including all the other medications I take, and said they thought all that might happen is I could feel shaky, but of course if I have any concerning effects to go to the ER. They also said to make sure to avoid caffeine and any other stimulants for the day.
I'm also wondering if I could have withdrawal from one suddenly higher-than-usual dose, and then going back to my regular dose tomorrow. Also, not sure if I should take a dose tonight. I will call my doctor and/or pharmacy to ask, but it's early morning here and they aren't open yet.
Edit: I talked to the pharmacist, and he wasn't concerned at all. He also didn't think there would be any withdrawal issues from going 36 hours between doses instead of 24 (since I now have to wait until tomorrow night for my next dose) since I already have the right amount of medication in my system, just early.
I will update again tomorrow as to whether there were any side effects or other issues, and leave this up in case anyone has this issue in the future and searches the subreddit for advice.
