Hi all,

I started the 2-week free trial of AdGuard today (not the VPN, just the standard app), but honestly I’m not noticing any difference on my phone so far.

For context:

• I’m on Android
• I use Opera as my browser, which already has built-in ad blocking
• Reddit I also use via Opera, so no ads there anyway
• YouTube I use via a modded version, so also no ads
• The only social media app I really use is Instagram, and I still see ads there with AdGuard enabled
• I also tried HBO Max (ad-supported plan), and ads still show there too

So at this point I’m struggling to understand what AdGuard is actually doing for me.

I was actually considering buying a lifetime subscription, but since I’m not seeing any difference, I'm not sure it make sense right now.

Am I missing something in the setup (I didn't really fiddle with the settings, I simply enabled the protection in the main screen), or is my current usage just not a good fit for AdGuard? Where should I expect to see a difference?
