What is the red flag when updating ?

Hello,

I come from openSuse Tumbleweed and the btrfs + snapper install was really usefull. If something breaks after an update, just reboot and select an oldest entry in grub and that is.

I wanted to do the same thing in Void so I went btrfs + reFind (in order to use LUKS2). It doesn't seems that easy to set up so I will live without it I think.

I do not know if you have already encounter some major issue after an update but if yes, what would be your advice in order to avoid this situation ?
When you execute the update command, what would be the big red flag ?
I can remember on openSuse when the package manager want to uninstall a bunch of stuff, it was never a good idea the keep updating.

Thank you for your help.

Bluetooth control module

Hello,

On openSuse KDE, I have a bluetooth control in the settings that allows me turning ON/OFF the bluetooth. It also offers some additional controls like, remember the last state of the bluetooth which I very usefull to me.

I just installed Void Linux and the KDE version seems very minimal.
In KDE settings, I can turn on/off the bluetooth but do not have this additional settings allowing like on openSuse. This advance bluetooth settings is mission.

So do you know what is the name of the package that is in charge of this kind of things ? For instance, on Void I did non have the advances sddm control but in just installed `sddm-kcm` package and have it now.

Thank you for your help.

Laptop Lenovo x6

Hello,

I just installed Void and trying to make everything work.
I have an issue with my volume keys.

- FN + F5/F6 = changing the brightness works well
- FN + F2/F3 = should change the volume but nothing happens
- FN + F1 = should mute but don't

I do have installed acpid and it runs as service.

Here is the "xev" output. Keys are recognised as a regular Fx keys despite the fact using them with FN.

Thank you.
