I want to download all of my photos to my pixel phone but if i do that from the app it gets out of order. google takeout will have the same issue. is there any good way to download them and keep the metadata?

I plan to use macOS Tahoe (this is more experimental than for actual daily use). I wasn't able to find a good or conclusive answer based on what I saw in this subreddit or the Dortania guide.
