I love hosting game nights, and I’ve run a lot of Jeopardy-style games before, but I wanted something closer to Wheel of Fortune.

Most of the options I found were either console games without much customization, DIY setups, or PowerPoint templates, which meant a lot of manual work. So I built Spinorama, a web game where the host runs everything from one screen.

It makes hosting and playing super easy. Scores update automatically, most actions have keyboard shortcuts, and voice prompts help keep the game moving. You can also create your own custom games, categories, and puzzles.

You can try it here (no signup required):

Would love any feedback!

I like running custom game show nights for friends. Usually Jeopardy, but I wanted to try a custom Wheel of Fortune-style game.

The options I found were basically:

  • console games (can't add your own word puzzles or categories though)
  • PowerPoint templates
  • or fully DIY

None of those felt great, especially having to manually track score and game flow.

So I built Spinorama. It runs in the browser and the host controls everything from one screen. It handles turns, scoring, and flow so you are not juggling rules the whole time.

Some things I focused on:

  • host runs everything from one screen, players just call things out (no phones)
  • game flow is enforced so you can’t accidentally break the rules mid-round
  • keyboard shortcuts for basically everything
  • speech prompts that tell you whose turn it is and what actions they can take
  • no signup needed to try it

Would love any feedback, especially from anyone who has tried hosting games like this before.
