The twin spiral staircases in the Trustee’s Office of Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill, KY are iconic examples of 19th-century Shaker craftsmanship. Designed by Micajah Burnett, these rare,, free-flowing, three-story cherry wood staircases are renowned for their, elegant design  They were built to be both functional and beautiful, embodying the Shaker philosophy of "true simplicity"
