Why did Ben try to kill this villain? It's not like he treats vilgax like that! Every normal vilgax encounter
Ive seen debates on Ben 10 UAF the forge of creation debate and while I enjoy all sides of the debate, one thing that piss me off is how people undermine Ben internal conflict to prove a point on how they blame Ben not taking responsibility in this arc, this was one of the main point of the arc though. it's always:
"Kevin was transformed because Ben failed. He should've been trying to help Kevin, not kill him"
people are either forgetting or are downplaying the several events that lead to that
Ben was never comfortable with the idea of killing Kevin to begin with. Ben feels at most responsible for Kevin being crazy again after failing to stop Aggregor immediately because of his selfishness and stupidity.
it's what Kevin did while in the state he was in that made Ben started questioning. this is the same guy that nearly kid a dude for 8 bucks. this was also the infamous echo echo in the trunk scene after Kevin killed Ben multiple times
hunted down argit and the plumber kids and so many others for some grudge
Paradox’s cryptic message also played a big role about “Protect the innocent and do what must be done.” Like he said in the final fight against Kevin. If Ben really wanted to kill Kevin, he wouldn’t have spared him in the end.
People forgetting that Ben was conflicted overall in the whole Ultimate Kevin arc.
there's a lot I can go into but one thing I dislike is the statement that Ben never treated vilgax like this:
buddy have you watched the show? every vilgax encounter has been in the hopes of putting down the guy for good.
