Live version of "Heart worth breaking" better than studio original?
I consider myself a casual fan of The Midnight but I did watch them at the Brooklyn Paramount last night. Everything about the show came to me as a massive surprise - the diversity of the audience, the number of folks that had no clue what the synthwave genre was (this is actually a compliment to The Midnight's wider appeal) etc. But the big one was "Heart worth breaking". Admittedly, I didn't even know the song but it was one of those pleasant surprises last night that I found incredibly moving but when I went back to hear the original, it didn't have the same punch.
