I feel stupid for needing an explanation on this because I absolutely love this movie and the creative story-telling. But there’s something I still don’t understand about the ending. Everything I read claims that Estella (Cruella) is the “true heir” of the Baron’s estate. BUT if her mother is still alive, then how is Estella/Cruella able to gain control of the estate? Wouldn’t it only be hers if/when the Baroness dies?
