Micro Wednesday’s — Playing into Ranged Offlaners/Sololaners

Hey all, on today’s Micro Wednesday,

We go into how to play into ranged offlane/sololane opponents.
In a lot of my games I encounter sololaners who complain about playing into Iggy, Murdock or some other ranged champ in the offlane.
The first video is from a Dota Pro and the principles are spot on with regard to tackling the ranged offlane issue.
The other two are from the Predecessor community, creators you should be familiar with.
Personally I don’t think ranged offlane is an issue but since I see others struggle with it I hope this can help and my Offlaner won’t be 0-2 in the first 3 minutes.
Let’s talk about it…

Macro Monday — Roaming

Hey all today’s topic is Roaming.
When to roam how to roam and what to do when you roam.
Roaming is a more in-depth concept that varies based on champion, game state, wave state, and team and objective availability.
If mastered roaming will help you carry games especially in lower ELO.
Let’s talk about it…

My Appreciation Post to Omeda Studios.

I’ve noticed that we get on this Reddit and talk about what we don’t like about this game and I just want to take the time to say THANK YOU to Omeda, IMHO I like the way the game is going. As someone who played Paragon, I think their version of Narbash is in the best I’ve ever seen, the changes to Grim.exe, the changes to Grux, the changes to Terra, the reversion of Coutesses dash, all the original Heroes and the addition of Paragon the Overprime’s heroes as well are all steps in the right direction. I’ve played league for over 10 years and just that fact that in less than 3 years Omeda is already taking steps to roll out a new and better map and adding depth in the form of Eternals as well as increasing the items in the game. All these things are commendable and no easy feat for a team who in general didn’t come from game design. So while I can I want to give @OmedaStudios their flowers because I was there when Paragon shut down, when Sylphin got on stream and cried because we lost such a great game and to see all these years later Omeda brining it back and attempting to make it better makes me truly grateful to be able to play this game. So THANK YOU OMEDA STUDIOS. I hope Predecessor has a 10+ year run and becomes a franchise that rivals League ✊🏾

Today’s Micro topic is Peel. What it is and why it’s important.
By definition Peel or Peeling: is the act of protecting an ally, usually a squishy damage-dealer (carry), by forcing enemies away from them. It involves using crowd control, damage or damage reduction abilities to “peel” attackers off, allowing the ally to survive and continue fighting. The primary Goal of Peel is to keep high-value, fragile teammates alive, preventing enemy assassins, bruisers or other damage dealers from killing them.

Below as usual are two videos that discuss peel and of course because Pred is a different game things might vary slightly for example there are only cleanse crests in Pred and one cleanse item (Legacy) and one Champ with cleanse (Khaimera) but the principles still apply.

The last five heroes were Adele, N3on, Maco, Renna, Akeron. It’s about time we have a carry no? Hopefully a melee carry Zena from Overprime would make a cool melee carry…IJS!

As a user of Obelisk I think it would be great is we could mouse over the crest and it give us a calculation of how much damage our auto will do once we activate it. I think that should be standard for all stacking mechanics in the game. Currently we can see how many stacks we have but we can’t really calculate in game how that would translate to damage. It would be nice to have that available. Thanks in advance!!!

Hey all I had alot going on yesterday so I wasn’t able to make a post for Macro Monday so here it is.
Today the topic is Surrendering when to surrender and what circumstances. The first clip is from former professional league of legends jungle player Broxah the second is from a streamer who is I believe GM or Challenger in League of Legends.
I play too many games in ranked where my team wants to surrender. Personally I think it’s something that a lot of lower elo players need to change their mindset about. The second video breaks down the math behind why you shouldn’t surrender so easily and how it negatively affects your climb.

I see a lot of people complaining about the quality of games so going forward I will be posting here on Wednesdays and Mondays addressing Micro on Wednesdays and Macro on Mondays trying to help educate the community and hopefully do my part to raise the standard of play.

Today’s topic is Support:

Below are two videos that should help any support player get better. Of course there are some stuff that don’t apply because it is league of legends but a lot of the position specific content is spot on.

Hope this helps. Any questions or comments please post 🙏🏾
