Also is it a common or comet? Male or female?
Hey folks. I have had this carnival won goldfish for a year now. Super cool guy/gal. Loves the plants. He is in a 75 gallon. I understand he is a comet goldfish. I obviously had other plans for this tank but my friend was trying to put this in a 10 gallon and I just could not let that happen and thus ended up owning this guy.
Onto my question, I was watching aquarium coop and the guy suggested that we can get rice fish or variatus platy as a tank mate. Wanted to take y’all’s suggestion before I do that. The reason I am interested in those is because I want to get a schooling variety of fish. According to him these two like cold water and are not aggressive and will be big enough to not get swallowed. My Goldie is super small as of now anyway.
I know that we and usually keep only Goldies with a goldy. But if I can keep a schooling fish, it would be awesome. Please enlighten me. And yes if adding more plants will make that possible, I will get more plants.
