Partner trying to be a teacher in DFW, we desperately need advice.

My partner is a California graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Math. He wants to be a HS math teacher in the DFW. He subbed this school year in Texas so he has some experience. What are his steps to get hired as a full time teacher in DFW? Teachers have told him he can do iTeach during the Summer and be hired by the next school year, is this accurate? If so what exactly does he need to do? Does he need to reach out to the school districts? Sorry I don’t even know what to ask. We’re stressing trying to find him employment before we actually move to DFW. Please help, and thank you so much.

Where to live as someone who is trying to be a teacher?

Need some recommendations on cities that are in good areas with good school districts. My partner is going to be a teacher and we’re worried about long commutes and tolls. Our budget is around 1400-1500 for a 1br. Our last rental a few hours away from DFW had a roach problem so that is the #1 deal breaker for us.

Added context and questions: My partner is planning on starting iTeach soon and he’s currently a sub at an ISD and the teachers tell him he’s able to work on his iTeach and be fully employed as a teacher as long as he’s working on his program. Is this accurate? Does this narrow our available options for school districts? He’s got a bachelor’s in Math and is looking to be a HS math teacher, we’re just both totally lost on how to find a job for him.

Trying to move into DFW. My co-signer/guarantor has good credit but a bankruptcy. Will this affect approval?

Totally new to this so sorry if my terminology is off. My co-signer/ guarantor has great credit but filed for bankruptcy a couple years ago and is currently dealing with that. Their credit score is apparently a 700+. My credit score is around 780+, my partner and I are just starting out so we’re afraid we’re not going to be able to get approved somewhere because our income might be right under the 3x rent amount at places. Any advice? We greatly appreciate it!
