Longterm prospects after patella dislocation and surgery

It has been over a year since my accident and surgery and while I am able to mobilise ok in terms of everyday things - walking, work, climbing stairs etc - my knees (both the bad one and the "good one") are sore more often than not, and my bad one constantly grinds and clicks. It drives me crazy, I'm only 26 but I know osteoarthritis will catch up with me pretty quickly at this rate. My "good" knee has pain most days, I'm assuming from me walking slightly funny and subconsciously taking pressure off my bad knee, and I now worry I'll end up with an longterm injury to that knee over time. I also used to be a weightlifter and I can barely squat 20kg now without grinding and/or pain. It's frustrating and disheartening.

Can anyone tell me if long-term they had any improvements? Or if you found a treatment to help manage pain? I know there are HCLA injections, PRP injections etc but I think that's not something the doctors will consider until further in the future, along with further surgeries potentially is what I've been told.

I don't know if I'm really looking for hope, or just someone who understands what I'm going through. I'm scared that this is as good as it gets - my knees will only get worse and worse with age. It's terrifying because I'm already struggling so much with pain and performing physical activity like I used to. It's hard to imagine how much worse things will get with time...

Sphenoid sinus barotrauma

Hi everyone!

(not looking for medical advice, I've seen the doctor and undergoing treatment already)

I have been diagnosed with mild acute inflammatory sinus disease affecting my sphenoid sinuses (bilaterally), which occurred as a result of sinus barotrauma on a dive. I didn't feel congested or sick that day, but the theory is I must have been slightly congested without knowing it. Anyway, my sphenoid sinuses are both almost completely blocked still on my CT scan, and the doctor has advised treating it for 6-8 weeks (with nasal decongestants, nasal steroid spray and saline flush) before having another scan to see if it has healed. So no diving for that long at least. :(

Has anyone else dealt with this? I willing to do all of the treatment, continue seeing the ENT doctor and wait until it has healed before diving of course, but what scares me is the potential for further sinus issues. So just wondering if anyone has gone through this and whether they had any ongoing issues afterwards? Or did your sinuses go back to normal? I've never had any issues with my sinuses prior to this.

Thanks everyone
