My partner and I are moving to Weymouth and looking for a general contractor that can do some work on our house.

Most immediately we would like to fix up and replace some of the kitchen cabinets, but down the line may need to repair parts of a wood deck and other smaller jobs. I know it can be hard to have someone come out for one small job but figure we could probably have them address multiple small projects at once to make it more worthwhile for them to accept.

Does anyone have any recommendations for general contractors that service the Weymouth area?

Thanks in advance!

My fiancée and I recently brought a home in Massachusetts and the kitchen isn’t bad at all, the cabinets are stable, but could use some love and new paint. We are leaning towards refacing rather than a full replacement or remodel. Our only issue with refacing is it seems like we won’t be able to get rid of these weird “cabinets” with giant holes in them above the stove. All the holes are larger than a standard wine bottle and there is no door or anything. We haven’t talked with any professionals yet, just internet research for now.

Does anyone know what these are? Does anyone have these in their kitchen and what do you do with them? Would also love any ideas you have to decorate them/use them.

Has anyone replaced a few cabinets and then refaced the others?

Thanks for any advice!
