2022 last game of the season last place mi beat dc to prevent them to make playoffs sending rcb instead. If we win vs lsg RR will be under insane pressure. We're still in it.

Just win vs lsg and bring some respect atleast

Matchup with lsg works in our favor we just need to execute.

Their home ground isnt balanced where good bowling is rewarded and bad bowling is punished. It's straight up not that good for batting. Which means even our average bowling lineup can look good like on Ahmedabad.

They dont have enough left handers to seriously trouble brar other than pooran who can be easily outfoxed, we dropped jansen who marsh can feast on and arsh has a great record vs him while azmat bowls tight lines and lengths over back of length stuff which he loves. Vyshak might have to come in also for lockie who marsh can smash.

Inglis is a daredevil but hes prone to traps and lsg ground isn't easy to clear so if chasing in not too concerned.

Lsg spinners have been bad this year and weve been excellent vs spin and all we have to do is play out shami first 2 overs and play well vs prince. Their batting lineup doesnt have depth and we can blow them out even if we bat first

No matter what happens I love this community and all you guys. This team is just a social experiment to test loyalty and weve all proven ourselves. While we don't deserve this im proud to share a fanbase with every single one of you guys❤️. Most loyal fanbase in any sports.

No fans have been as much shit on like us. Not even DC.

But I'm proud of you guys for being here with me supporting these clowns every step of the way.

We chose this team and we'll always be with them.

But don't take the losses to heart and let it ruin your day. Remember last year and we'll be back Saturday no matter what.

Prabh should play sai sudarshan role from now

I think arya should go all guns blazing and prabh may need to make a slight adjustment that he does more strike rotation and hit bad balls because sometimes i see him go all out and lose his wicket in the pp.

Prabh has been exceptional but sometimes i see him start slow and trying to slog when he should just rotate strike and hang on

We need to have realistic expectations as a fanbase and accept last year was a miracle and repeating that will be hard. Whatever happens this year ponting and shreyas have turned us around and no one expected this change from last 10 years.

The only disappointing thing is we started off way too hot but now choking.

I told everyone 6th in a 10 team league is great and people called me negative.

Before the season started if anyone told us we'd be at 6 wins and 4 losses anyone would take it but the nature of streak has fooled us.

Our batting isn't as good as we thought and our bowling isn't as bad as we're currently showing.

We need to rally the last 3 games but if we miss playoffs remember this is still a young team that has overperformed the last 2 years and we still have a very good young core of 6-7 players who will be with the team for years to come

The level of disrespect and insult I've seen from our players to chahal is just insane. Multiple games of not bowling him enough or just not bowling him because of 'matchups' . Fielders dropping 3 catches off his bowling in a single game. Keeper missing easy stumping. Absolutely despicable stuff.

Feel for yuzi especially after how serious he was this season after last year he suffered and played through injuries and still took key wickets in playoffs.

Hes bowled very good this year and this is the treatment he gets.

He deserves better

"Inglis didn't lie to us, he missed the games for his wedding as he said" think for one second why we retained Lockie who pre planned to miss half the season but not Inglis.

I like the guy but he orchestrated a move to leave to get more money.

You guys are forgetting he literally told Ricky the day of retentions about his plans to miss most of the season.

This wasn't something he communicated to the team in good faith like lockie who always was going to take an extended break to be with his family after the world cup.

Imagine ponting who's always been loyal to aussies out of nowhere comes and releases him. There was way more to the convo than him just being out for most of this season and he either told Ricky his true intention of being released or dared him to do it without giving notice.

Just think for a second why Lockie was still retained while Josh wasn't

Tired of people pretending we(entire dfw area) don't have the best bbq in all of Texas.

I don't think Houston is even close.

Everyone says Austin is better but i went there recently and it was good but kinda gimmicky. Interstellar had elite sides and more variety than we might see here but the meat isn't better than cattleack and goldees.

We have institutions like hutchins who invented Texas twinkies. Mexican based bbq that's elite like Hurtados, Panther city, Vaqueros. Ethiopian bbq in smoke n ash, and iraqi based Kafi. If we count Daynes then it's not even a contest but to be fair i won't.

I think Austin and Lockhart do good traditional style bbq and have some cool gimmicks like interstellar and leroy and Lewis but overall we smoke them in creativity and overall meat quality

Everyone has been shitting on yuzi for off the field stuff but he's been insane for us this year after a mid start and a mid finish last year because of multiple injuries

Has an economy under 10, 8 wickets(would be a lot more if fielders could catch) and has only had one really bad game vs MI.

He's come with a vengeance

Cattleack still unmatched. The consistency week to week is just insane. No one in Texas does brisket better.

Just went there again today and it never gets old man. Just pure perfection and insane meat quality every time.

Nothing beats the moist brisket and their sausages and cheeks are insane

This is the best in Texas idgaf

Should I do it again(post only for those who know me in this sub, if you don't ignore)

First 5 games of the season i was running an insane gimmick which was partly insane pessimism and partly anti jinx but i kept saying we would finish 6th, other teams are much better etc.

I stopped that because this team was giving me so much joy and deep down i genuinely believe in them as i still do now. I wanted to stop disrespecting.

After that we still won vs lsg and dc but then lost 3 in a row.

I've been told to restart my previous mentality.

I personally don't believe anti jinx is a thing that works, its just a coping mechanism to avoid feeling depressed so if you lose you knew you were right atleast.

But what yall think?

Should i go back to how i was

I'm sure the new movie will be very well shot and made but I'm not too excited to see a remake/adaptation that's been read by everyone.

Same with Oppenheimer. While it seems like it was a great effort and brought us great performances it was the biography of an existing man.

I'm disappointed because i think of the prestige, interstellar, Inception, Memento all original creative movies with pacing fast enough that even non cinephiles would enjoy it.

And he's moved now to making all movies inspired by past events, real people or adaptations in his last 3/4 movies instead of original storytelling.

Just disappoints me

Mahomes is the best of his generation and ik nix isn't perfect but he's stepped up almost every big game and outplayed mahomes on both instances.

He broke our raiders losing streak and we now have 4 wins in a row vs them.

He broke our arrowhead curse and has been the only qb we had to outduel mahomes

First qb since manning to win a playoff game and lead us to one seed.

It's a bit random but nuggets exit has me feeling down and while jokic is still one, i think Nix is up next and I'm placing all hopes on him

u/punjabkingsownersout — 19 days ago

We have 6 genuine match winners who have won multiple games with the bat either the last 2 years or throughout ipl history and nehal and jansen are still yet to fire

Obviously our bowling is mid but i think at this point it's getting too much hate.

Even while our bowling isn't elite we don't really have a weak link either

I saw the exact same thing about bo nix my teams qb. Everyone called him old, weak arm, not good first 2 years in college as reasons to make fun of us but then he outperformed expectations.

It seems like players in draft but especially qbs are impossible to predict how they play no matter where they were drafted.

But why is discourse around them still so toxic i don't understand

Funniest thing is for India he's still good and does what he's supposed to. Bowl wide and slow yorkers.

I feel like post ipl 2022 where he was insane but picked up lesser wickets he started getting greedy for wickets and bowls more short balls and leg side filth to bait the batter to get wickets.

He went away from what made him great which was consistently nailing yorkers.

And now hes not nailing Yorkers either.

Idk if he's worth a retention spot for mega auction ngl
